It's time: T-12 days til #la2016 US Olympic Marathon Trials. Breaking in the race day shoes! On paper this buildup looked like a far from ideal setup. Rooted at sea level, newly parenting 4 kids with unique needs, training almost entirely alone. And yet I have enjoyed it more than any other prep in my pro career and felt I was able to be most "me" in it. Each mile grinded alone I have strived to do as worship to the One who gave me this gift I love so much and has enabled me to continue it even during a time I thought it may not be possible. These next 12 days my focus is continuing to do it unto Him and win or lose seek Him above all else
Found the perfect Valentine for Ryan!
Every day holds another first. Shopping for snow clothes today! This girl continues to amaze me with her confidence. She used to be so painfully shy I worried most about her adjustment. Now she is determined to master everything she tries, including passionate pleas to let her try driving (at 13). Hide the keys!
