2014 ASICS LA Marathon Recap

The 2014 ASICS LA Marathon was bigger than ever this year, with 26,040 participants, and all 50 states and 54 countries represented in the big race. This video recaps the entire event: from the ASICS Treadmill Challenge, to some heartfelt interviews with the runners, and plenty of intimate footage from the course.

ASICS would like to congratulate all who completed this iconic event, and give a special shout out to ASICS Mammoth Track Club athletes Lauren Kleppin and Gabriel Proctor: Lauren finished the race in 3rd place overall, and Gabriel was the first male American finisher - a testament to their own dedication and hard work, plus the coaching of Andrew and Deena Kastor!

Marathoners are a different breed. Their world is full of meticulous planning; of getting up before the sun; of personal sacrifice; of lungs gasping for air as they struggle to finish that last mile. But that's not all there is to it. They do it because they love it. They do it because it's addicting; and, most of all: they do it because it's FUN. Be inspired by the attitude, energy, and passion of that select group of runners who are proud to call themselves 'Marathoners.'
