MAYUKO - JAPANESE LIVING IN BARCELONA
Her stay in the United States left her with some extra pounds and she started running when she moved to Barcelona 2 years ago to stay fit.
She made a lot of new friends through running which motivated her to run no less than 3 marathons last year: Barcelona, Paris and Amsterdam.
She trains 3 to 4 times a week with her friends and they always enjoy a drink with refreshments altogether afterwards, which motivates her even more!
In February, she will move back to Tokyo, even if she would have liked to stay a little longer in Spain.
Her goal is to finish her next marathon in less than 4 hours.
JOJO - 50 YEARS OLD FILIPINO
He will turn 50 years old this year and is originally a triathlete and an Ironman (2006).
A lot of work commitment and several injuries in the past 4 years kept him away from competition, but he is now training hard for his come back marathon.
For him, running a marathon is about building your character!
AKANE - GERMAN LIVING IN LONDON
Akane was born and raised in Germany from Japanese origins.
In the summer of 2011, one of her client challenged her to run a marathon. Before that day, she had never run or even showed interest in any sports. But she took up the challenge and ran her first marathon in her hometown of Dusseldorf last spring.
She is now addicted to running and continues training.
RACHEL - BRITISH LIVING IN HONG KONG
Rachel is a UK national living in Hong Kong.
She has been diagnosed with a rare form of diabetes 6 years ago. A disease she probably had since childhood. She first started running to stay fit and healthy but also to prove others that diabetics can also be sportsmen.
Rachel wants to show the 9-10 year-old she is teaching to that you can accomplish great projects with efforts and motivation.
Running was also a way for her to discover Hong Kong and its beautiful landscapes, where she moved 1 year and a half ago.
She runs to support other diabetics and give them hope.
RYUKI - 32 YEARS OLD LIVING IN SAITAMA
He ran his first marathon 2 years ago, when he accidently won the lottery ticket to participate. He applied because he needed a goal to run for.
Until he won the ticket, he had never trained and had no specific knowledge.
He says he has only painful memories of his first race, as the skin of his feet started to rip off after 12km. But, despite the pain, he managed to finish the race.
Since that day, he uses MY ASICS to train efficiently for his next goal: running his next marathon in less than 4 hours!
