GEL-Nimbus® 11
The GEL-Nimbus® 11 is the most performance oriented GEL-Nimbus® ever. This update features an injected Solyte® midsole cap over the forefoot, which is softer on the women’s model. All extraneous upper overlays have been removed as well for additional comfort and breathability. Coupled with a lighter midsole, the new shoe features a dramatic drop in weight from the previous version, down to a very respectable 12.4 oz. (mens' size 9). Comfort features have also been added with a memory foam tongue construction and a stitch-less heel environment.
GEL-Cumulus® 11
The GEL-Cumulus® 11 will feature a more decoupled heel environment for improved shock attenuation at heel strike. The new, lightweight Solyte® midsole also provides a softer platform and drops weight down to a performance-oriented 11.4 oz. (mens’ size 9). The tooling offers a broad base of support and makes the shoe a good product solution for mild over-pronators that prefer a cushioned ride. The upper features a new kimono tongue construction coupled with lateral memory foam for a snug comfortable fit. Also noteworthy is the heel tab, with new geometry to lessen the potential for irritation.
GEL-Evolution™ 5
The GEL-Evolution™ 5 reprises the tooling of the previous model, which broke new ground in its ability to provide Maximum Support while allowing the foot to move in a more natural manner. The tooling is highlighted by ASICS proprietary Maximum Support Space Trusstic System®. The rearfoot includes an innovative outsole ‘wrap’ on the medial side for added stability. The newly designed upper features a longer vamp for a more ample toe box, along with a medial bunion window. The rearfoot offers stitchless PHF®, allowing for a more irritation-free fitting environment.
GEL-Pulse™
The GEL-Pulse™ is a new offering in ASICS Cushioning category, intended to provide runners of all abilities with more value and better performance than other trainers at the same price point. The GEL-Pulse™ features a visible GEL® Cushioning System in the heel and a Lite SpEVA® midsole. Midfoot Trusstic System® and a blown EVA outsole also add to the shoe’s value. The upper features an open mesh set-up with full-length EVA lasting and a memory foam sockliner. The higher-end components also help keep the weight to a very performance oriented 11.4oz. (men’s size 9).
